Cutting Edge Dentistry

At Back Bay Dental, our goal is to educate every patient about their oral health and empower them to put their best smile forward. We understand that each patient has unique needs, so we will work with you to develop a customized dental plan that takes into account your oral health needs, budget, and lifestyle. Dr. Ciancarelli and his team always ensure that each patient leaves feeling happier and healthier than when they arrived.

We offer crowns that are designed, created, and inserted in hours, using 3-D precise CAD CAM technology. By getting your crown the same day, the nuances of uncomfortable temporary crowns that fall off at inopportune time are over. You can leave the office and have a meal right away.

By incorporating Periodontal Medicine as described by Doctor Doug Thompson of the Dental Wellness Institute; we are promoting overall total body wellness. By accurately targeting the bacterial plaque in the mouth we can help in reducing the potential risks of stroke Alzheimer’s and cardiovascular disease.

Cavitron is a state-of-the-art ultrasonic scaling system that utilizes sound waves to produce gentle vibrations that vibrate plaque and tartar off teeth. Once removed, a steady stream of ionized and purified water washes away the loosened debris. This, in addition to, hand scaling is beneficial in preventing and fighting periodontal disease.

Soft Tissue Laser is used to treat mouth sores such as herpetic lesions and ulcers, by reducing healing time. It is also used as a therapy to reduce periodontal bacteria, especially the bacterium which has been discovered in the atherosclerotic plaque associated with coronary heart disease.

We Take Dental Health and
Your Overall Wellness Seriously

Oral health is tightly linked to the health of your entire body. It’s a coincidence that sugar is damaging to the gut and is also a major cause of tooth decay? Your mouth is the gateway into your body. Research shows the bacteria that causes gum disease can affect the health of your heart and other critical organs, while causing many medical health conditions. All parts of the body are connected, so it is essential to treat the entire body as an entire system.
